As for me … I woke up to find it was already midday. Definitely overslept.

In bed were my dog, my partner, and me.

From the moment I opened my eyes, I felt wrapped in happiness.

I had been sleeping while hugging my dog, so one of my arms was completely numb and wouldn’t move.

Still half-asleep, I slowly got up and took a deep breath – with a cup of coffee in hand.

踊らずにはいられない名曲、『マツケンサンバⅡ』。

軽快なリズム。きらめく将軍様。頭のなかをループする音楽。

全国民が知っているのではと思うくらい愛され続ける一曲。

A song you simply can’t resist dancing to – Matsuken Samba Ⅱ.

Its upbeat rhythm, the dazzling shogun, and that melody looping endlessly in your head.

It’s so beloved, you’d think the entire nation knows it by heart.

我らが将軍様、俳優の松平健さんが歌い踊る楽曲シリーズのひとつです。

2004年に発売されたこの曲は、爆発的なヒットを遂げて、発売から21年を超える今もなおブームは続いています。

カラオケやイベントでの盛り上げはもちろんのこと、結婚式の余興でもよく使われていますね。

This iconic song is part of musical series performed by none other than our be loved “SHOGUN”, actor Ken Matsudaira – singing and dancing in full regalia.

Released in 2004, Matsuken Samba Ⅱ became a massive hit, and even now, more than 21 years later, the craze continues.

元々は舞台で披露するショー用の曲で、洋装やタップダンスなどが盛り上がらず煮詰まっていたそう。

そこで、和装+サンバに切り替えラテン風に進化させたところ、大成功！

「暴れん坊将軍」のきりっと格好いいイメージが強い松平健さんが、スパンコールの着物でダンサーズを引き連れて笑顔で踊る姿。

都市伝説界隈では、除霊効果があるともっぱらの噂です。
