とは言え師走の月半ば。今月後半は忙しさにまた飲まれそうな気がします。
久々に更新できて嬉しい限りです。私のペースにはなりますが、また色々書かせてください。

As for me, November’s whirlwind has finally passed, and I’m enjoying a calmer weekend.
That said, it’s already mid-December, and I can sense the busyness waiting to sweep me up again later this month.
I’m simply glad to be updating after a little while. It may be at my own pace, but I hope to keep sharing my thoughts with you.
With a cup of coffee in hand, I’m taking a quiet breath.

さて、皆さんは『2匹のネズミがクリームに落ちた話』を知っていますか？
By the way, have you ever heard the story of two mice that fell into a bucket of cream?
“あるところに、2匹のネズミがいました。
ある時、ネズミ達はクリームが入った瓶に落ちました。
片方のネズミは、諦めてしずみ、溺れて死んでしまいました。
片方のネズミは、諦めずもがき、クリームをバターに変え、這い出ることができました。“
"Once upon a time, there were two mice.
One day, they fell into a jar of cream.
One mouse gave up, sank, and drowned.
The other mouse refused to give up, kept struggling, and eventually churned the cream into butter, climbing out to safety."
この話の教訓は、『諦めずにもがけば、状況を変えられる』というもの。
私はこの話がとても好きなんですが、皆さんはご存じだったでしょうか？
よく出来た寓話だと思いませんか？🌿

実はこれ、映画『キャッチ・ミー・イフ・ユー・キャン』からの引用です。
作中で、主人公の父親がスピーチ中に語る寓話で、このシーン昔からとても好きなんです。
Actually, this is a quote from the movie Catch Me If You Can.
In the film, the protagonist’s father tells this fable during a speech, and I’ve loved that scene for a long time.
今回調べて驚いたのが、この“2匹のネズミの話“は映画の脚本で書かれたただワンシーンであって、現実世界のどこかの国のいつかの物語ではないとのこと。
What surprised me when I looked into it this time is that the “story of the two mice” was written purely as a scene in the screenplay—it doesn’t come from any real-world folktale or legend. Isn’t that amazing?
脚本家さんってすごいですね！
たった少しのシーンなのに、こんなにも心に残る物語を生み出す力があるなんて！
この短い話のなかに入ったかすかな希望が、辛い時の私を支えてくれます。
Screenwriters truly have such power!
With just a brief scene, they can create a story that lingers in our hearts!
That gentle spark of hope keeps me afloat whenever life feels heavy.
ああ、思い出しながらこの話を書いていると、映画『キャッチ・ミー・イフ・ユー・キャン』を観たくなってきました…！
トム・ハンクスとレオナルド・ディカプリオ、警察と詐欺師の追いかけっこ。実話を基にした、悲劇でもあり喜劇でもある一作。ハラハラしつつも、良いリズムで進む映画でとても観やすい。最後は少しほっとして、温かな気持ちになれる映画だとも思います。
観たことない方が要れば是非！私は今夜観ます🤭🎬
As I write about this story, I find myself wanting to watch Catch Me If You Can again…!
Tom Hanks and Leonardo DiCaprio—an endless chase between a policeman and a con artist.
Based on a true story, it is both a tragedy and a comedy. The suspense keeps you on edge, yet the rhythm flows so smoothly that it’s easy to watch.
In the end, it leaves you with a sense of relief and warmth.
If you haven’t seen it yet, I truly recommend it. As for me, I’ll be watching it tonight 🤭🎬
そろそろ年末ですね。
ゆく年くる年、師走は“師匠も走るほどの忙しさ”が語源と言いますから、きっと多忙な月になるでしょう。
