さて、今日の書き散らしです。
Now then, here’s today’s little ramble.
私は今、お風呂に浸かっています。
温度は40℃ばかりと適温。半身浴。
目の前にはテーブルを置き、お気に入りの漫画を、ジャズをかけながら読み進めています。
I’m currently soaking in the bath.
The water is at a comfortable forty degrees—just right for a half‑body soak.
I’ve set a small table in front of me and I’m reading one of my favorite manga while playing some jazz.
漫画『再婚承認を要求します』、ご存じですか？
美しい東大帝国の皇后が、皇帝の側室入宮をきっかけに悩むようになるも、西大帝国の王子に見初められ、物語が始まっていく…という内容です。
Do you know the manga “The Remarried Empress”?
It follows the Empress of the Eastern Empire, who begins to struggle after the emperor brings a concubine into the palace—only to be noticed by the prince of the Western Empire, and the story unfolds from there.
漫画はすべてカラーで、描写は小説を読むように繊細で美しく、読者とほどよく距離がある描き方が、なんとも魅力的なんです。
政略も多く描かれており、恋愛マンガと呼ぶには味気ない。
非日常かつ上品で静謐な心地を味わいたい方には、ぜひ1度お手にとってもらいたい一品です。
The entire manga is in full color, and the artwork is as delicate and beautiful as reading a novel.
The way it maintains just the right distance from the reader is incredibly appealing.
There’s plenty of political intrigue as well, so calling it a simple romance doesn’t quite do it justice.
If you’re someone who enjoys a refined, quiet sense of the extraordinary, I highly recommend giving it a try.

犬と彼は、年が明けて喜びあった後、すぐに夢の世界に旅立ちました。
明日の朝、初夢を聞くのが楽しみです。

The jazz echoes gently in the bathroom, filling me with a deep sense of comfort.
My dog and my partner, after celebrating the New Year together, slipped off into the world of dreams almost immediately.
I’m looking forward to hearing about their first dreams of the year tomorrow morning.
私はまだまだ、大晦日を終える気はなく、もう少し1人の元旦を味わいたいと思います。
As for me, I’m not quite ready to let go of New Year’s Eve just yet.
I think I’ll savor this quiet, solitary New Year’s morning a little longer.
